These Terms & Conditions apply to yoga classes, yoga therapy sessions, introductory calls, workshops and related services provided by Talula Sheppard, whether delivered in person or online.
By booking or attending a class or session, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking and Payment
Yoga classes can be booked directly through the Lula Yoga Space website.
Yoga therapy sessions are arranged following an initial 15-minute introductory call, which is provided free of charge. The introductory call allows us to briefly discuss your needs, whether yoga therapy may be appropriate for you, and any questions you may have before deciding whether to book.
Completion of an introductory call does not guarantee acceptance for yoga therapy. I may recommend that you seek support from another suitably qualified healthcare professional where I believe this would be more appropriate.
Yoga therapy sessions are booked separately following the introductory call and completion of the relevant intake form.
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received, unless another arrangement has been agreed with you.
Prices are displayed on the website or confirmed at the time of booking. Prices may change from time to time, but any price change will not affect a booking that has already been confirmed.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact information when booking.
2. Class Packages and Block Bookings
Where a block of classes or sessions is purchased, the sessions must normally be used within the period specified at the time of purchase.
Block bookings are generally non-transferable and non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
If you are unable to attend a session within your block booking, the cancellation policy below applies.
3. Cancellations and Missed Sessions
Individual sessions and yoga therapy
If you need to cancel or rearrange an individual session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session rate.
If you do not attend a booked session without cancelling (“no-show”), the session may be charged in full.
I will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests to rearrange sessions, but this cannot always be guaranteed.
Group yoga classes
For group classes, cancellations and refunds are subject to the booking terms displayed at the time of purchase.
Missed group classes are generally not refundable or transferable.
4. Cancellation by Talula Sheppard
I reserve the right to cancel or rearrange a class or session where necessary, including because of illness, unforeseen circumstances, venue issues or technical problems.
If I need to cancel a session, you will be offered an alternative session, credit or refund as appropriate.
For online sessions, where technical problems prevent the session from being delivered, I will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the session or provide an appropriate alternative.
5. Health, Safety and Personal Responsibility
Yoga involves physical movement and, although practices can be adapted to individual needs, participation carries some inherent risk of physical injury.
You are responsible for informing me before participating of any relevant health conditions, injuries, pregnancy, recent surgery, medication, physical limitations or other circumstances that may affect your ability to practise safely.
You should seek appropriate medical advice before participating if you have concerns about whether yoga is suitable for you.
Please work within your own limits and do not attempt to force or work through pain.
If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, discomfort or any other concerning symptoms during a session, you should stop the practice and let me know.
Yoga classes and yoga therapy are complementary practices and are not intended to replace medical diagnosis, treatment or advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
6. Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy sessions are individually tailored and may include movement, breathwork, relaxation, meditation, mindfulness and other appropriate yoga-based practices.
Before beginning yoga therapy, clients are asked to complete an intake form so that relevant information about their health, wellbeing, circumstances and goals can be considered when planning sessions.
Yoga therapy is complementary support and is not a substitute for medical, psychological or other healthcare treatment.
I do not diagnose medical or psychological conditions, prescribe medication or alter existing medical treatment.
Where appropriate, I may recommend that you seek advice or support from another suitably qualified healthcare professional.
7. Introductory Yoga Therapy Call
The initial 15-minute yoga therapy introductory call is free of charge.
The call is intended as a brief opportunity to discuss your needs, answer initial questions and determine whether yoga therapy may be an appropriate service for you.
The call is not a therapy session, medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment.
A completed introductory call does not create an obligation for either party to proceed with yoga therapy.
8. Children and Young People
Where yoga therapy or other individual services are provided to a person under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide the required consent before participation.
A parent or legal guardian will also be required to complete or approve the relevant intake and consent information where appropriate.
Parents or guardians are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about the young person's health, wellbeing and circumstances that may affect their participation.
I may ask for additional information or take additional safeguarding measures where appropriate.
Information relating to children and young people will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.
9. Online Classes and Sessions
Online classes and sessions are delivered using Zoom.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have:
A suitable internet connection;
A suitable device;
Enough clear, safe space to practise;
Appropriate clothing and equipment;
A safe and suitable environment in which to participate.
Please ensure that children and young people participating in online sessions have appropriate adult supervision where required.
I cannot control hazards within your home or practice environment and therefore cannot accept responsibility for risks arising from circumstances that I cannot reasonably identify or control.
Online classes and sessions will not be recorded unless this has been clearly communicated in advance and an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, consent has been established.
10. In-Person Classes and Sessions
For in-person classes and sessions, you are expected to follow reasonable instructions relating to safety and use of the venue.
Please tell me before a session if there is anything about your physical condition or circumstances that may affect your participation.
You are responsible for your personal belongings while attending a session.
11. Liability
I will provide yoga instruction and yoga therapy with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the above, I cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss or damage arising from participation where you have failed to follow reasonable instructions, failed to disclose relevant information, or acted outside your own physical limitations.
I am not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to a class or session.
12. Right to Refuse or End a Session
I reserve the right to refuse or end a session where I reasonably believe that participation would be unsafe, inappropriate or contrary to the wellbeing of the participant or others.
This may include circumstances where relevant health information has not been disclosed or where a participant is unable to participate safely.
Where appropriate, I may recommend that you seek advice from another qualified professional.

I aim to ensure that information on my website lulayogaspace.com, is accurate and up to date.
